Meri Natak Diary

A weekly column was published in Punjabi Tribune from May 1991 to January 1992. In these 32 columns Gursharan Singh narrated the story of his memorable plays and performances describing when and how the play was conceived, written and mounted. In 2014, Prof Jaspal Kaur of Punjabi University, Patiala, presented these columns in an edited volume. In the introduction to the volume Prof Kaur said that Gursharan Singh always said that he used theatre as a medium to reach out to people. However, the pages of this diary bear testimony to the fact that he was master craftsman of the theater and a great theater practitioner.
